Sara joined Public Health Wales in 2017 and is involved in research on adverse childhood experiences in refugee and asylum-seeking children, the public health impacts of climate change, and the development and impact of community wind turbines. Sara has previously been engaged in research on violence prevention, particularly around child maltreatment and the prevention of violence in schools. Prior to joining Public Health Wales, Sara worked as a public health researcher at Liverpool John Moores University.
