Lara joined the WHO CC in 2019 as Violence Prevention Programme Lead. Lara leads public health activity within the Wales Violence Prevention Unit, this involves strategic leadership, research, evaluation and advocacy for a public health approach to violence prevention. She manages a multi-agency team of policing and public health specialists and researchers. Prior to this role, Lara worked for Public Health England and in local authority public health. She has an MSc in Public Health from the University of the West of England and has undertaken the WHO Mentorship in Violence and Injury Prevention (MENTOR-VIP Programme).
