Jo is part of the International Health Coordination Centre (IHCC), where she acts as Senior Project Support Officer. She produces the quarterly International Health Newsletter, as well as monitoring and evaluating International Health Strategy, maintaining stakeholder lists and sitting upon both the International Health Forum and Activity Group. This is her second role within the Policy and International Health WHO CC directorate, Public Health Wales.
Jo was an Administration and Resource Officer in the directorate’s Business and Administrative team. She has previously been a vaccinator with the Covid-19 immunisation team based in the Cynon Valley and Merthyr Tydfil; during redeployment, she worked with Treharris District Nurses providing wound care et al in the community. At the onset of the pandemic (and for many years before), she was a support worker with Drive Ltd. Jo was once the Regional Manager for AimHigher West Midlands and spent a decade as a freelance writer. She enjoys genealogy and deep-diving into her historical research.
