Louisa joined Public Health Wales in 2018. In her current role Louisa manages the Polisi team, which champions a health in all policies approach in order to improve health, well-being and equity in Wales. This work includes supporting implementation of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015, and Louisa oversees a collaborative partnership with the Future Generations Commissioner’s office on embedding the long-term way of working set out in the Act into public body thinking and planning. Prior to this appointment, Louisa influenced policy and practice for over five years on behalf of health and social justice charities. She also has a degree in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of York and a PhD in Developmental Genetics from University College London.
