Carys joined Public Health Wales in 2024 to work on the Specialist Projects Team, focusing on work involving social connection within Wales and internationally. She previously worked as a researcher for Cardiff University, contributing to projects such the development of behaviour-change interventions and the evaluation of workplace psychological wellbeing interventions for nurses during the pandemic.
Carys has a background in psychology, having completed an undergraduate and master’s degree in Healthy Psychology in Cardiff. She is eager to apply her knowledge of health psychology and behaviour-change theory in a Public Health environment, and looks forward to working on projects on a national and international level. Outside of work, Carys enjoys reading, spending time outdoors (usually with her two cockapoos) and attending live music events.
