Public Health Wales secured its position on the EuroHealthNet Board in order to strengthen and develop further our collaboration and partnership with countries, regions, organisations and networks across the European Union. Dr Mariana Dyakova, International Health Lead, took over the Board membership from Malcolm Ward and also presented the WHO CC portfolio of work and upcoming products – facilitating investment for health, equity and sustainable development.
The General Council adopted a Meeting Statement and the EuroHealthNet Annual Report 2018 – 2019: Pathways to Sustainability, focusing on: How can we incorporate the concept of sustainability into public health policy, practice, and research? How to achieve sustainable financing for health promotion and prevention? And what does it take to build sustainable partnerships to create a healthier, fairer future for all?
