{"id":4790,"date":"2021-10-08T17:57:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-08T17:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/phwwhocc.co.uk\/whiasu\/?p=4790"},"modified":"2021-10-29T12:58:49","modified_gmt":"2021-10-29T12:58:49","slug":"new-toolkit-enables-health-to-be-built-into-future-land-planning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/phwwhocc.co.uk\/whiasu\/new-toolkit-enables-health-to-be-built-into-future-land-planning\/","title":{"rendered":"New toolkit enables health to be built into future land planning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Public Health Wales has created <a href=\"https:\/\/phwwhocc.co.uk\/whiasu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/10\/HIA-and-LDPs-Toolkit-E-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a practical Health Impact Assessment (HIA) toolkit<\/a> that will enable planners to easily integrate health into their development plans for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed to help further the collaboration between planning and public health sectors in Wales the resource aims to maximise positive health and wellbeing outcomes through land use planning policies that create healthy, equitable and cohesive communities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The HIA Toolkit for Practice is focused on the preparation of Local Development Plans (LDPs) and Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPGs) but could equally inform and support the development of Strategic Development Plans (SDPs) and reviews of LDPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resource is aimed primarily at public health and local authority land use planning policy officers.
