On Monday January 21st 2019, the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) launched a new report in the House of Commons titled “The State of the Union. Reuniting Health with Planning in Promoting Healthy Communities<\/a>.” (available in English only.) This report provides a picture of the effectiveness of the collaboration between the planning, public health and healthcare sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The publication includes insights from five English councils and also from the Wales Health Impact Assessment Support Unit (WHIASU) in Public Health Wales. In July 2018 WHIASU hosted a multidisciplinary workshop in Cardiff in collaboration with the TCPA to gather local stakeholder knowledge, and the evidence collated at this workshop contributed towards the final report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
