The day was chaired by Kate Eden, Non-Executive Director of Public Health Wales (PHW) and a total of 58 participants attended including town planners, environmental health officers, policy makers, academics, public health practitioners and Directors of Public Health, coming from all parts of Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A series of presentations outlined the importance of PHW, local authorities and policy makers working together to ensure the integration of health and wellbeing at all stages of policy making and continuing through the whole lifecycle of developments. At the heart of this is the empowerment and engagement of communities to create a \u2018place\u2019 for all. The workshops explored the extent of current practices; engagement in everyday working; and what opportunities there are to foster greater engagement between different sectors and practitioners. A wish list of short, medium and long term objectives was highlighted by participants to enable future improved collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A summary and actions from the workshop will be produced in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To view the presentations from the day, please click on the links below.
