Dr Rachel Bennett joined the World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre at Public Health Wales as a Senior Public Health Researcher/Analyst in 2023. Prior to this appointment, Rachel worked as an academic with research and teaching specialisms in global health and ageing, family migration and data skills. Rachel retains a fractional academic contract as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire where she leads the Health & Wellbeing theme on the Geography programmes and supervises student research projects. Rachel holds an MSc in Demography and PhD in Social Statistics from the University of Southampton. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys travelling and yoga.
