Angie is the Project Support Officer for the Health and Sustainability Hub in Public Health Wales and brings her passion for protecting people and planet to her role.
Since completing Carbon Literacy training in 2017, Angie has developed and delivered sustainability sessions for several staff induction events and encouraged sustainable behaviours through advocacy and engagement. She has also developed resources to facilitate positive change, such as the Well-being Goals Challenge. So far, she has completed two modules from the MSc in Sustainable Development in Practice at Bristol UWE and plans to continue with her studies part-time.
She is passionate about nature and firmly believes that access to green space is not only essential to health and well-being, but also helps us to cultivate a healthier relationship with our environment. Since completing the RHS Practical Horticulture Course (Level 2) in 2018, Angie has embarked on various greening projects, including a collaboration with community project, Growing Street Talk, to green street frontages in her neighbourhood. She is also a trustee for the charity Grow Cardiff.
In addition to and inextricably linked, Angie is a creative practitioner, singer-songwriter and poet – you can listen to some of her work here. She is particularly inspired by nature and has collaborated with various community projects and organisations, including Size of Wales and Cardiff and Vale Health Charity.
