This podcast episode is focused on Public Health Wales’ collaboration with WHO Regional Office for Europe and specifically on our joint work on ‘Investment for health and well-being’ – what does it mean; why it matters; and how it is relevant to the people in Wales and beyond.
Dr Christoph Hamelmann, Head of the WHO European Office for Investment for Health and Development (Venice, Italy) visited Public Health Wales and we had the opportunity to speak with him about this important topic. We gained an insight into the opportunities and challenges of investment for health and well-being; learned that current investment policies and practices are unsustainable; and explored key policy options and approaches for investment in order to achieve the highest attainable standard of health for all at all ages.
